The deadline for LL.B (Hons) application submission set by University of London (UoL) is 1st October, 2018. However, Themis School of Law will commences its academic session by September, 2018. Therefore, prospective students applying for First Year are encouraged to apply as soon as they give their GCE A level exams but no later than 17th August, 2018. Second Year applicants should also submit their admission application latest by 17th August, 2018. This will enable us to process your application swiftly, and ensure that you get your study materials on time.

The classes at Themis School of Law usually commence in September, with orientation taking place a week before the commencement of classes.

The LLB (Hons) is typically a three (3) year degree programme.

Both the Application Handing Fee of the University of London and the Registration Fee of Themis School of Law are non-refundable.

The University of London’s LLB (Hons) degree is recognized for entry into the legal profession in Pakistan as well as in other jurisdictions, provided you study the necessary courses. The degree is widely recognized throughout the country by the specific Bar Councils of the provinces and as well as the Pakistan Bar Council, thereby enabling you to obtain a license to practice in Pakistan upon successful completion of the LLB Degree.

Yes you can practice in the UK provided you have completed the LLB (Hons) degree as a Qualifying Law Degree.

You can apply for a Masters in Laws (LLM) or Bar Practice Training Course (BPTC) or Legal Practice Course (LPC) or can pursue a degree in a separate field e.g. MBA. The University of London law degree gives you a solid foundation and will always benefit you regardless of the profession you eventually choose.

Scheme A allows you to finish your degree in a minimum of three (3) years whereas Scheme B will require a minimum of four (4) years to complete.

Bank draft and / or a Credit Card are the two most common methods of payment of the University of London’s fees. At Themis School of Law, we can help you in arranging the bank draft subject to a small fee and get you through the payment process.

To pass a subject, a student needs to obtain at least a 40 percent. The categorization of grades is as follows:

  • 70 or above – Distinction or First Class
  • 60 or above – Merit or Second Class Upper Division
  • 50 or above – Credit or Second Class Lower Division
  • 40 or above – Pass or Third Class
  • Below 40 – Fail
